Pudding

  • 1 box chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk Use cold milk for faster setting.

Topping

  • 1 container whipped topping (8 oz)
  • to taste Chocolate shavings or sprinkles for garnish

Preparation

  • Prepare brownies according to the recipe or package instructions, let them cool, then cut into 1-inch chunks.
  • In a bowl, whisk the chocolate pudding mix with 2 cups milk until smooth and thickened.

Assembly

  • In a trifle dish or individual glasses, layer half of the brownie chunks as the first layer.
  • Spoon half of the pudding over the brownies, then spread half of the whipped topping.
  • Repeat with the remaining brownies, pudding, and whipped topping, then top with chocolate shavings or sprinkles.
  • Chill for at least 1 hour before serving so layers set and flavors marry.

Notes

Cool brownies completely before cutting to keep clean chunks. Make ahead up to 24 hours and keep covered to maintain freshness. For individual servings, use small glasses and layer carefully.
