Ingredients

  • 1 ripe pear for the turkey body
  • 2 candy eyes or cream cheese + blueberries
  • 1 slice of cheddar or carrot for the beak
  • Assorted deli meats: sliced turkey ham, salami

  • Round crackers and pretzels

  • Grapes apple slices, dried apricots or cranberries
  • Mini cookies or fall-shaped candy

Instructions

  • Slice cheeses and roll or fold deli meats. Wash and dry fruits thoroughly.
  • Place the pear upright at the bottom center of your board. Add candy eyes and a beak using cream cheese to secure.
  • Layer meats and cheeses in arcs around the pear to form 'feathers.' Alternate textures and colors.
  • Fan crackers, then add fruits and nuts to fill out the design.
  • Tuck small items into gaps. Add sweets or herbs for finishing touches.
  • Serve immediately or cover and chill until ready. Assemble wet and dry items separately if prepping ahead.

Notes

Use a round wooden or marble board. Chill ingredients before assembling. Add picks or tongs for easy serving. Transport with an ice pack underneath if needed. Snap a photo before serving!
