Ingredients

Pastry

  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough

Filling

  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Extras & Tools

  • to taste butter spray or oil spray
  • optional powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice until evenly coated.
  • Roll out the crescent roll dough and cut it into squares large enough to hold a spoonful of filling.
  • Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each square, keeping a little space at the edges.
  • Fold the dough over the filling and pinch or crimp the edges to create a sealed bomb shape.

Cooking

  • Spray the air fryer basket with butter or oil spray and arrange the bombs so they are not touching.
  • Air fry for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown, remove and let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired and serve warm.

Notes

Don’t overfill the dough squares to avoid leaks during cooking. Space bombs apart in the basket so air can circulate and they crisp evenly. If apples release a lot of juice, drain slightly before filling to prevent sogginess. Store cooled bombs in an airtight container and re-crisp in the air fryer for best texture.
