  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water

Jell-O Topping

  • 1 box strawberry Jell-O
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water

Finish & Garnish

  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven according to the cake mix instructions and prepare a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, 3 large eggs, and 1 cup water; mix until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared dish and bake per package directions.
  • Let the cake cool about 15 minutes, then poke holes all over the top with a fork.

Jell-O Preparation

  • Dissolve the strawberry Jell-O in 1 cup boiling water, stir in 1 cup cold water, and pour evenly over the cake to fill the holes.
  • Refrigerate at least 3 hours until set.

Finishing Touch

  • Spread 1 cup whipped topping and garnish with fresh strawberries before serving.

Notes

Cool the cake about 15 minutes before poking holes. Use boiling water to fully dissolve the Jell-O and ensure the filling sets properly. Store covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
