Ingredients
  

Dairy

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened Use room-temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Fruit

  • 1 cup strawberry puree

Optional

  • Gelatin (optional, for additional firmness) Dissolve in a little water as per package directions.

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  • In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth and silky.
  • Gently fold the strawberry puree into the cream cheese until evenly combined.
  • Carefully fold the whipped cream into the strawberry and cream cheese mixture until blended and light.
  • If using, dissolve gelatin in a little water per package directions and fold it into the mousse for added firmness.
  • Spoon the mousse into serving dishes and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Chill bowls and beaters beforehand to help the cream whip faster. Store covered in the fridge up to 3 days for best texture.
