Equipment

  • microwave-safe bowl Or a small saucepan if melting on the stove
  • Spatula For mixing and pressing the mixture
  • 8x8-inch baking pan Line with parchment paper for easy removal
  • knife Run under warm water for smooth slicing

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 cups plain Cheerios cereal

Instructions

  • Combine peanut butter and honey in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 30 seconds, then stir until smooth and silky. You can also melt them together on the stove.
  • Pour in the Cheerios and stir until all pieces are evenly coated in the peanut butter-honey mixture.
  • Press the mixture firmly into an 8x8-inch pan lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for about an hour until firm.
  • Cut into bars or squares and enjoy! Store covered in the fridge for grab-and-go snacking all week.

Notes

Use unsalted natural peanut butter for the best nutty flavor. For easier slicing, run your knife under hot water first. Try adding mini chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or cinnamon for fun twists. Store covered in the fridge for up to a week or freeze individually for longer.
