Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup rolled oats or quick oats
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter or allergy-friendly substitute
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup, honey, or agave
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • mini chocolate chips or raisins Optional

Instructions
 

  • Warm the nut butter if it's not soft, then mix it with oats, chia seeds, and salt in a bowl. Combine well and form into balls or cookie shapes.

Notes

Store leftover energy balls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, in the refrigerator for up to three weeks, or in the freezer for three to four months. Adjust the nut butter or liquid sweetener if using a dry nut butter for a scoopable texture.
