Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts about 1.5 lbs
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare all ingredients by chopping parsley and mincing garlic.
  • Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Add minced garlic and chicken broth to the skillet, then simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Mix cornstarch with cold water and add to the skillet, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  • Drizzle lemon juice over chicken and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt slightly.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh lemon juice instead of bottled. Allow the chicken to rest after cooking for improved juiciness. A sprinkle of fresh herbs enhances both presentation and flavor.
