Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar for the dough
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons butter unsalted

Coating

  • 1/4 cup sugar for rolling churro bites
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon for rolling churro bites

Other

  • Oil spray for air frying

Preparation

  • In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and 1 tablespoon of sugar and bring to a boil.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt until a smooth dough forms.
  • Let the dough cool slightly, then pinch or pipe small bite-sized portions and shape into rounds.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and spray the basket lightly with oil.

Cooking

  • Place the churro bites in the basket (don’t overcrowd) and cook for 10–12 minutes until golden brown.
  • Mix the remaining 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon in a bowl, roll the warm bites in the mixture, and serve immediately.

For a savory-sweet party platter, include garlic butter beef bites with potatoes as a hearty companion. Tips for re-heating: Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 350°F for 2–3 minutes to regain crispness.
