Ingredients
  

  • 2 ounces high-quality bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease and flour two 6-ounce ramekins.
  • Melt the chocolate and butter together until smooth.
  • Whisk the egg, egg yolk, and sugar in a separate bowl until pale and slightly thickened.
  • Fold the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture gently, then add flour and salt.
  • Distribute the batter evenly into the prepared ramekins.
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes until the sides are firm and the centers remain soft.
  • Let the cakes rest for 1 minute before inverting onto serving plates.

Notes
