Equipment

  • Oven
  • Baking dish
  • microwave-safe bowl
  • brush

Ingredients

  • 1 package Savory Butter Hawaiian Rolls (12 count)
  • 12 slices black forest ham
  • 6 slices Havarti cheese
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and slice the Hawaiian rolls in half without separating them, placing the bottom half in a greased baking dish.
  • Layer the ham and Havarti cheese on top of the bottom half of the rolls.
  • Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl and stir in the Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, and poppy seeds, then brush over the top half of the rolls.
  • Place the top half back on, cover loosely with foil, and bake for about 15 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 5 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Cut the rolls as a block for easier assembly and fold ham slices for better texture. Adjust the amount of ham or cheese according to preference. Cover with foil during baking to retain moisture, uncovering for the last few minutes for crispiness. Store assembled sliders in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 4 months before baking.
