Ingredients

Crust

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Filling

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Toppings

  • assorted fresh fruits (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, etc.)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the sugar and softened butter until smooth.
  • Gradually stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt until a dough forms.
  • Press the dough onto a pizza stone or baking sheet to form an even crust.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden, then let the crust cool completely.

Assembly

  • In another bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust, arrange the fresh fruit on top, then slice and serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

Cool the crust fully before spreading filling to prevent melting. Pat fruit dry so the filling doesn’t get watery. Slice with a sharp knife chilled for cleaner pieces. Store covered in the refrigerator; consume within 2-3 days for best freshness. For firmer slices, chill 20-30 minutes before serving.
