Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb kielbasa smoked sausage
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil divided
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium head cabbage, cored and chopped (about 2 lbs)
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt plus more to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar

Instructions
 

  • Slice the kielbasa and brown it in a skillet with 1/2 tablespoon of oil for about 6 minutes, then set aside.
  • In the same skillet, cook the onion in the remaining oil until softened, then add garlic, cabbage, salt, and pepper, stirring well.
  • Cover and cook the cabbage mixture for about 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until wilted.
  • Add red wine vinegar and return the kielbasa to the skillet, cooking for an additional 3 minutes until heated through.
