Cake Mix & Baking

  • 1 box vanilla cake mix For the base of the cake.
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water

Filling & Toppings

  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup whipped topping For spreading on top of the cake.
  • 1 cup rainbow sprinkles For decoration.
  • to taste Food coloring Optional, for coloring the condensed milk.

Garnish

  • Fruit for garnish (strawberries, blueberries, or other berries) To enhance presentation.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Prepare the vanilla cake mix according to package instructions, using the water and eggs; pour the batter into the prepared dish.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean, then cool for about 10 minutes.
  • Use the end of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the warm cake.
  • Mix sweetened condensed milk with food coloring if desired, then pour it evenly over the cake.
  • Chill the cake for about 30 minutes in the fridge.

Finishing Touches

  • Spread whipped topping over the cooled surface.
  • Decorate with rainbow sprinkles and fresh fruit, then slice and serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

Make sure the cake is slightly warm when poking holes. Chill at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld; overnight improves texture. Store covered in the fridge for up to 3 days; add sprinkles and fruit just before serving.
