Oil & seasoning

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Spices

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

Preparation

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  • Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the fillets and rub to coat evenly.
  • Sprinkle garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper on both sides.

Cooking

  • Place the fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Check the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C), then serve immediately.

Notes

Dry the fillets well to help the exterior crisp up quickly. Do not overcrowd the basket; leave space for air to circulate. Use an instant-read thermometer to confirm 145°F for safe, juicy fish. Reheat gently in the air fryer at 350°F for a few minutes to preserve texture.
