  • 1.55 oz. Hershey’s chocolate bar Shave for stunning finish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Bake brownies according to package directions and let them cool completely; cut into bite-sized cubes.
  • Whisk the instant chocolate pudding mix with water until smooth; stir in sweetened condensed milk for extra richness.

Assembly

  • Fold or layer half of the brownie cubes into the bottom of a trifle dish or large glass bowl.
  • Spoon half of the pudding mixture over the brownies, smoothing into an even layer.
  • Add a layer of 8 oz. frozen whipped topping, then repeat: remaining brownies, remaining pudding, and remaining 12 oz. whipped topping.
  • Chill the assembled trifle at least 1–2 hours to set and meld flavors.
  • Just before serving, shave the Hershey’s chocolate bar over the top for a finished look.

Notes

Cool brownies completely before assembling to prevent melting the pudding and whipped topping. For cleaner layers, chill each layer briefly before adding the next. Use a serrated knife to cube brownies without compressing them. Store tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
