Ingredients

  • 1 fresh baguette sliced into 1/2 inch rounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for brushing
  • 1 wheel of brie sliced thinly
  • 1 crisp apple like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith
  • 1/2 cup fig jam or fig preserves
  • Optional: flaky sea salt fresh thyme, balsamic glaze, or toasted pecans

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice baguette into rounds and place on baking sheet. Brush with olive oil and toast for 5–7 minutes until golden.
  • Thinly slice the apple. Soak slices in 2 cups cold water mixed with 1 teaspoon salt for 10 minutes. Rinse and pat dry.
  • Spread fig jam on each toast. Add a slice of brie and top with apple slice. Garnish with optional toppings.
  • Serve immediately while toasts are still slightly warm. Brie will soften into the toast beautifully.

Notes

Toast baguette slices a day ahead if needed and store airtight. Soak apples in salted water to keep them fresh. Assemble just before serving to keep textures crisp.
