Ingredients

Base

  • 4 large large flour tortillas

Butter mixture

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Must be softened for easy spreading.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Freshly minced for the best flavor.

Seasoning

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Garnish (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped Can be omitted if desired.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, beat the softened butter with the minced garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over one side of each tortilla.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place the tortillas butter-side up in the air fryer basket, making sure they lie flat and don’t overlap.
  • Air fry for 3–5 minutes, watching closely, until the tortillas are golden and crispy.
  • Remove, sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired, and cut into wedges to serve.

Notes

Watch closely near the end of cooking; thin tortillas can go from golden to burnt quickly. Arrange tortillas in a single layer for even crisping; cook in batches if needed. For extra crispiness, flip tortillas halfway through if your air fryer cooks unevenly. Make garlic butter ahead and store in the fridge to speed up weeknight prep.
