Ingredients

Protein

  • 1 lb chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

Sauce & Pantry

  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Seasoning

  • Salt and pepper to taste

To Serve

  • Cooked rice or steamed vegetables
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the chicken pieces with teriyaki sauce, olive oil, salt, and pepper; let marinate 15–30 minutes.
  • Toss the marinated chicken with cornstarch until pieces are evenly coated.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

Cooking

  • Arrange the chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between pieces.
  • Cook for 10–12 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping halfway through, until golden and cooked through.

Serving

  • Serve over rice or steamed vegetables and garnish with green onions if desired.

Notes

Cut pieces uniformly so they cook evenly. Marinate at least 15 minutes to boost flavor. Tossing with cornstarch gives a crisper exterior. Don’t overcrowd the basket. Check doneness with an instant-read thermometer; chicken should reach 165°F.
