Description
Creamy, dreamy, and with a spicy-sweet twist, this whipped ricotta dip with hot honey is your new secret weapon for impressing guests or elevating solo snack time.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup whole milk ricotta (about 8 oz)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
- Sea salt flakes and cracked black pepper, to finish
- ¼ teaspoon lemon zest (optional for brightness)
Instructions
- Whip the ricotta in a food processor until ultra-smooth. If you don’t have one, a fork works with some elbow grease.
- Warm the honey slightly until it flows easily. Stir in red pepper flakes or a spoonful of chili crisp.
- Scoop the whipped ricotta into a shallow bowl and use the back of a spoon to make soft waves.
- Drizzle the hot honey over the ricotta.
- Sprinkle with sea salt, cracked black pepper, and lemon zest if using.
- Serve with sliced baguette, crackers, warm pita, or fresh veggies.
Notes
Try garnishing with chopped pistachios or fresh thyme for texture. It also shines inside tacos, on sandwiches, or as a creamy base for roasted veggies or pasta.
