Description

Ever wished you could snack like a Weasley? These Dragon Roasted Nuts are your ticket into the cozy chaos of Diagon Alley with a fiery, sweet crunch that’ll make your tastebuds cheer ‘Accio snack!’

Ingredients

Scale
  • Cashews
  • Almonds
  • Pecans
  • Walnuts
  • Peanuts (skip for Paleo)
  • Optional: Hazelnuts
  • Optional: Macadamia nuts
  • Optional: Brazil nuts
  • Cinnamon
  • Chili powder
  • Cayenne (or tone it down)
  • Ginger
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Ground cloves
  • Cracked black pepper
  • Cumin
  • Honey
  • 1 egg white

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or a silicone mat. Measure out your nuts into a big bowl.
  2. Whisk one egg white until frothy. Toss the nuts in and mix to coat. Add warm honey and all your spices. Stir until everything is glossy and well mixed.
  3. Spread the nuts out in a single layer on your baking sheet. Bake for 45 to 60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  4. Let them cool on the pan for at least 10 minutes. Break apart into clusters and store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

Halve the cayenne if you want it milder. For a Paleo version, skip the peanuts and use maple syrup instead of honey. Makes a great gift in a jar with a Hogwarts tag!
