Description

These Cookie Monster Cookies are bright, silly, and irresistibly sweet! With bold blue dough, candy eyes, and mini cookie toppers, they’re the ultimate fun treat for parties, bake sales, or just a playful kitchen project.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package sugar cookie mix (plus ingredients listed on the box)
  • Blue food coloring
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • Candy eyes
  • Mini chocolate chip cookies (like Chips Ahoy or Oreos)
  • Optional: M&M’s or blue sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Prepare cookie dough according to package directions. Stir in blue food coloring until dough is bright Cookie Monster blue. Fold in chocolate chips.
  2. Scoop dough into balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake at 350°F for 8–10 minutes, until edges are set but centers are still soft.
  4. While warm, gently press two candy eyes onto each cookie, plus a mini cookie and optional candies or sprinkles.
  5. Let cool completely before serving.

Notes

Press candy eyes on while cookies are still warm so they stick. Slightly underbake for soft centers, and store in an airtight container up to 4 days. Freeze baked cookies for up to 2 months.
