Description

This brie apple and fig crostini recipe is the kind of appetizer that feels fancy but takes just minutes to make. It’s crunchy, creamy, sweet, and savory all at once. Every bite gives major fall vibes and it’s perfect for everything from holiday hosting to wine night with friends.


Ingredients

  • 1 fresh baguette, sliced into 1/2 inch rounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for brushing)
  • 1 wheel of brie, sliced thinly
  • 1 crisp apple (like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • 1/2 cup fig jam or fig preserves
  • Optional: flaky sea salt, fresh thyme, balsamic glaze, or toasted pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice baguette into rounds and place on baking sheet. Brush with olive oil and toast for 5–7 minutes until golden.
  2. Thinly slice the apple. Soak slices in 2 cups cold water mixed with 1 teaspoon salt for 10 minutes. Rinse and pat dry.
  3. Spread fig jam on each toast. Add a slice of brie and top with apple slice. Garnish with optional toppings.
  4. Serve immediately while toasts are still slightly warm. Brie will soften into the toast beautifully.

Notes

Toast baguette slices a day ahead if needed and store airtight. Soak apples in salted water to keep them fresh. Assemble just before serving to keep textures crisp.
